In 2008, because of a very bad market, I was forced to sell a home I owned by a “Short Sale”. After helping over 40 other Seller’s, working on my own short sale taught me a lot about this process from the property owner’s side.

Feelings of disappointment, frustration, stress, and helplessness were present on a daily basis. It was one of the more difficult things I’ve had to accept so far in my life, but it was NECESSARY. In the end it wasn’t something I could continue to own and be happy. I had to move on.

Because of this personal experience I have a very unique perspective and understanding of how to handle and complete a Short Sale. My goal is to help my Seller in a way so they can move on and feel better about their situation once the sale is completed. Now that I’ve completed about 60 Short Sales, I am very good at getting them done in an efficient manner.

Out of all the types of transactions out there (traditional, Bank Owned, REO’s) Short Sales are the most complex with many nuances that need to be analyzed and understood on a case-by-case basis. Every situation is different and requires a unique/different approach. There are also MANY misconceptions and rumors about Short Sales that just aren’t true. These I can explain completely by email, in person or over the phone.

Overall I think it’s important for people considering a Short Sale to realize it’s not the end of the world and there are ways to move forward that will actually ENCHANCE your life and take away a terrible burden. There are also ways to position yourself for RE-PURCHASE in as little as 2 years.

It is VERY, VERY, VERY important to get the right Realtor to help you with this! It’s a complicated process that must be strategized correctly to protect your interests today and in the future!
